Chesterfield Biogas - technology for renewable energy

Chesterfield BioGas was established to provide turnkey solutions for the cleaning, storage and dispensing of biomethane, produced from waste water treatment and anaerobic digestion of
organic waste.

In October 2010 we successfully completed the first biogas upgrading project to inject  organically produced biomethane directly into the national gas grid. Raw biogas from a wastewater treatment site is being processed using a Chesterfield BioGas Manuka Plus upgrading unit which outputs biomethane up to 99% purity.

This achievement was a defining moment for the UK energy industry and it is expected that the process will be monitored closely by many looking to apply cost-effective renewable energy solutions from organic waste.

The process is environmentally friendly, energy consumption is low and the product is easy to install, manage and maintain.

The product range spans a wide field: our smallest model - the Manuka - with its competitive pricing is specially developed for sewage treatment plants and smaller farms that have lower capacity requirements. The larger models are designed for higher capacity industrial biomethane facilities.

This latest generation of water scrubbing technology upgrades organically produced biogas to pure biomethane for use as
pipeline quality gas or for vehicle fuelling. Unlike fossil fuels which are in limited supply and Increasing in price, biogas is
extracted via processes that have previously consumed carbon (CO2), resulting in a naturally balanced cycle.
A full advisory, design and project development service can be offered to enable you to gain maximum benefit from this
waste-to-energy process.
